Dan and Isabel wanted to have their engagement session in New York City, before their September wedding at the Rhinecliff Inn in Hudson Valley. Dan runs a literary magazine and they’re both very arts and culture-oriented, so I thought the New York Public Library would be a great, literary-minded spot to do the shoot in (the stunning architecture didn’t hurt!). As it turns out, Dan proposed to Isabel while they were ice skating at Bryant Park just behind the library. We explored the various hallways and arches in the library, then headed to Bryant Park, ending our shoot on the busy corner of 42nd St. and 6th Ave.
