Kirsten and Alex, whose September Mountain Top wedding we’re shooting next year, wanted to enjoy some of the gorgeous foliage and do engagement photos last month. So we started off in Woodstock, at the covered bridge, and made our way out of town and down winding country roads, stopping at various places along the way. We got a great variety of shots and enjoyed working on these – perfect foliage and gorgeous couple. Kirsten and Alex, looking forward to seeing you guys again soon!
Kristin and Luke were wed at The Barn at Boyden Farm, on a cool day in September with hints of fall showing in the mountains. This was one of the last weddings of the season (just one more left for the blog!) and there were beautiful details to shoot: gorgeous bouquets, a lovely bride and lots of tearful/joyful moments. Many thanks to second shooter Isaac for his help and awesome shots. Congratulations Kristin and Luke!

A few days ago, we shared images from Emma and Megan’s awesome Grand Isle Lake House wedding in September. The Monday after their wedding, we all got up just after sunrise and met up on the Winooski bridge for a ‘post-engagement’ session in their wedding attire. The two of them met while serving on City Council (Emma in Burlington, Megan in Winooski), and we even paid a visit to the conference room in Burlington City Hall where they first laid eyes on each other. It was nice to be reminded that there are awesome shooting spots just around the corner from where we work and live, and we had a great time exploring Burlington and Winooski with these two. Congratulations again Emma and Megan, so happy for you both!!
Jay and Pat came from Texas to get married in a small ceremony in Stowe, and we did an early morning engagement session with them a couple days before their wedding. The foliage in Shelburne was at perfect peak, with unusually cooperative weather, and we wandered the All Souls Interfaith property (one of our favorite shooting spots) and nearby locations, finding all kinds of hidden nooks for fun portrait shots. Afterwards we headed to the covered bridge in Shelburne, and snuck in a few photos before a cranky museum employee put an end to our fun. We were so happy to share the morning with Jay and Pat – congratulations to you both!!
Isabel and Dan were wed at The Rhinecliff, a pretty hotel along the banks of the Hudson River, New York, in late September. Monica shot their engagement session at the New York Public Library some months ago, which turned out beautifully. The weather did not cooperate on the wedding day, sadly, but the two of them pulled off an unforgettable day nonetheless. The toasts were among the funniest we’ve ever seen, incorporating skits with little Dan and Isabel puppets recounting the story of their romance and engagement (let’s just say it involves ice skating and an ambulance… but I digress). The late-night playlist was awesome and people rocked out extra hard on the dance floor. We slipped away for a few creative portraits on the nearby train bridge, a refreshing break from the usual red barns and Green Mountain scenery. Many thanks to second shooter Chris for his hard work. Congratulations Isabel and Dan!!
