Isabel and Dan were wed at The Rhinecliff, a pretty hotel along the banks of the Hudson River, New York, in late September. Monica shot their engagement session at the New York Public Library some months ago, which turned out beautifully. The weather did not cooperate on the wedding day, sadly, but the two of them pulled off an unforgettable day nonetheless. The toasts were among the funniest we’ve ever seen, incorporating skits with little Dan and Isabel puppets recounting the story of their romance and engagement (let’s just say it involves ice skating and an ambulance… but I digress). The late-night playlist was awesome and people rocked out extra hard on the dance floor. We slipped away for a few creative portraits on the nearby train bridge, a refreshing break from the usual red barns and Green Mountain scenery. Many thanks to second shooter Chris for his hard work. Congratulations Isabel and Dan!!
Jee nah and Matt were wed at a beautiful private residence near Essex, New York, just a stone’s throw across Lake Champlain. We started with getting ready and a first look on the property. A traditional Korean ceremony followed the first ceremony, giving us (Judd and Seth) great opportunities to get a variety of shots. These guys were fun to hang out with, really easygoing and had an awesome sense of humor. While it was a grey day, the rain held off just long enough to give us everything we needed, including some beautiful portraits and formals. We ended up adding a few more than our usual fifty, because we just couldn’t bring ourselves to edit out so many nice shots.
Many thanks to Seth once again for his great work… and that’s a wrap for our 2012 summer/fall wedding season! Congratulations, Jee Nah and Matt!
Ali and Josh were wed at The Essex Resort and Spa a few weeks ago. We (Judd and Seth) had a fun time photographing these guys – highlights of the day included a tearful first look out on the walkway, really nice moments throughout the day that we had a hard time choosing between, hilarious moments in the photo booth, and tearing it up late-night with some great music. Stick around for the ‘photo finish’ at the end of the slideshow… Congratulations Ali & Josh!
Andrea and Kyle were wed at St. Peter’s Church in Vergennes, Vermont, with a cocktail hour and reception following at Basin Harbor Club. In spite of the drizzly weather we managed to make a few beautiful creative portraits, and the day was full of spontaneous moments and poignant emotions that lent themselves to some great shots. Many thanks to Seth for his help, and congratulations Andrea and Kyle!
