Nick & Jenn had a beautiful wedding with less than twenty people on the shores of Lake Champlain, at a private venue they rented in South Hero. Because it was so intimate and relaxed, we had lots of room for exploration of creative portraits and details. We couldn’t have asked for a better atmosphere, a lovelier couple, or a cuter dog! Congratulations, Nick and Jenn!
Karen and Joe were wed at Joe’s private family property in Newbury last month – a beautiful, quintessentially Vermont property that they spent months getting ready for the wedding. We photographed their engagement session in the same place last fall and were happy to return. The first look took place on a grassy hilltop nearby, and made for beautiful photos. They timed the ceremony so that the sun would be behind the barn and guests would be in shade – not only did the light look amazing, it was a relief since it was incredibly hot and sunny. We had trouble narrowing down so many great photos for the blog. Thanks to Jess McClellan for helping with second shooting. Congratulations Karen and Joe!!
Dan and Isabel wanted to have their engagement session in New York City, before their September wedding at the Rhinecliff Inn in Hudson Valley. Dan runs a literary magazine and they’re both very arts and culture-oriented, so I thought the New York Public Library would be a great, literary-minded spot to do the shoot in (the stunning architecture didn’t hurt!). As it turns out, Dan proposed to Isabel while they were ice skating at Bryant Park just behind the library. We explored the various hallways and arches in the library, then headed to Bryant Park, ending our shoot on the busy corner of 42nd St. and 6th Ave.
Robyn & Keith were wed at Boyden Valley Farm on yet another gorgeous Vermont summer day. Robyn did her own flowers and chose a lovely plum color scheme for her wedding. We headed out into a nearby grassy field to do creative portraits later in the day. Overall it was very relaxed with a nice low-key vibe. Many thanks to second shooter Jess for helping out with great shots! Congratulations, Robyn and Keith!!
