We headed to Florida for Becca and Johnny’s wedding at the gorgeous Casa Monica Hotel in historic Saint Augustine. Becca and Johnny have surrounded themselves with an amazing group of friends and family, and we had such a great time photographing everyone. There was an abundance of laughter, dancing, and tears – this may have taken the cake for the most emotional wedding this year! Congratulations, Becca and Johnny! So very happy for you both.
We are excited to announce that Judd has launched a new web site for his personal work. It is full of incredible imagery – check it out here, and his blog here. We love sharing our personal work with our Eve clients – shooting a variety of subjects keeps us fresh, challenges us, and gets us excited for each new day of shooting. Judd would love to hear feedback as well. Enjoy!
As many of you are probably aware, Vermont was hit hard last weekend by tropical storm Irene. Monica, who was helping Dan from Kapitol Photography shoot a wedding at Sugarbush on Sunday, ended up having to stay the night due to impassable roads and flash flooding (though the wedding party had tons of fun regardless!). She has been documenting some of the recovery process on her blog.
Several wedding venues and vendors were affected by the flooding, and many people are working as quickly as possible to recover their homes and businesses. There has been an absolutely amazing effort from volunteers showing up to lend a hand and donating supplies and money. For our part, we are going to be donating 5% of our total shooting fee to the United Way’s Vermont Disaster Relief Fund for all weddings booked during the month of September. So if, between now and September 30, you book a package with eight hours of shooting, $140 will go to the relief fund. Check out this Seven Days post and the #VTResponse website for other ways to help.
Hope everyone is staying safe and dry!
Between their engagement session, rehearsal dinner, photo booth, and wedding, we shot nearly 5,000 images (before editing) for Keith and Renee. We are delighted to deliver such a well-rounded, beautiful collection of photos to them and we had SO much fun shooting their wedding day. They were generous, kind, full of smiles and ridiculously in love. It was our first time working at Top Notch which turned out to be a very well-organized, gorgeous venue for shooting. Judd and I make an appearance in the end frame, check it out 😉 Can’t say enough about how great these two are. Congratulations Keith and Renee!
PS – We are organizing a little something for those impacted by recent flood damage in Vermont. Keep an eye out for an upcoming post!
