We started Eve during our last year of college – about five years ago – and it’s been an amazing journey since the beginning. We’ve doubled our business every year and, after almost five years of hard work, we are finally moving from a home-based business to operating a professional photo studio. It’s a huge step for us, and so exciting we can barely express it in words – we’ve just signed a lease on a 1,200 square foot space at 209 College Street. The studio is right in the heart of downtown on the third floor of a magnificently remodeled building by Dave Farrington of Sticks and Bricks, LLC. Dave is a great guy and we are thrilled to be working with him.
We want the studio to not just be a home to our business, but also a shared, collaborative creative space in which ideas flow freely and everyone is welcome to stop by and say hi. There will be a small shooting area with a seamless setup and strobes. The studio will have its own web site, name and branding and be available for gallery shows, daily rentals, or monthly office shares. We get to be a part of the First Friday Art Walk and, of course, have a warm, inviting space into which we can bring our clients and show our work. We’re going to see if we can’t get a foosball table, lounge area and keggerator in there too. 🙂
